When you order a dog collar, it's important that you follow our size guide. The sizes of our dog collars are indicated in centimeters. A dog collar in size "50 cm" measures 50 cm from the end of the collar, including the buckle, to the middle of the 5 holes. The distance between each of the 5 holes is 2.5 cm. There are several ways to find the correct size.
If you have an old collar that is similar to our collar (with a buckle in one end and holes in the other end), you can measure the distance from one end, including the buckle, to the favourite hole (the one you use today). If the measurement is 50 cm, you should choose a collar in size 50 cm.
When you measure the dog's neck, you should not measure at the slimmest part of the neck, but where you want the collar to be placed. If you don't have a measuring tape, you can use a cord that you later measure with a folding rule or a ruler. When you have measured the circumference around the dog's neck, you can choose the right size from the table below.

Our dog products are made from heavy leather that will develop a patina with use, no matter which leather colour you choose. Especially the lighter leather changes colour with time. The light leather in the colour "natural" will develop a nice glow and get darker with time. How fast the leather colour changes depends on how you use the product. We recommend that the products are not exposed to water (we advise you to remove the products from the dog when it's going to take a bath, etc.). If you choose to expose the products to water you can expect the patina to develop faster. The leather can also become stiff. If that happens you can treat it with leather grease.
We have gathered all the relevant information about our dog collars in leather on this page. Here you can read more about the leather we use, the leather colours, and much more.
