How to order a product with personalized text from byRavn
In this guide, we show you how to order a RAVN keyring, which is our most popular product. However, this guide can also be used if you are ordering any of our other products.
When you order a keyring or one of our accessories, you are largely involved in designing the product. Before the product is added to the shopping cart, you must consider the following 3 points:
- Leather color
- Metal color (rivet/keyring)
- Text embossing on the product
1. Choose leather color
The majority of our products are made in 6 different leather colors. In the image below, you can see the colors in which the products are made (from left to right: Natural, Cognac, Black, Dark Brown, Dark Blue, and Red). When choosing a color, please note that it can be difficult to reproduce colors 100% accurately in images, and the leather's color nuances may also vary slightly when we receive new shipments from the tannery.
If you choose a product in "natural" color, please note that this color, unlike the other colors, will change significantly as the product is used. The light leather in "natural" color has an open surface, which means that this particular color easily absorbs sunlight, touch, etc., and will therefore develop a beautiful patina over time. In the image below, you can see how "natural" colored leather changes color when exposed to sunlight. On each piece of leather shown, you can see how many days the leather has been exposed to sunlight and follow the development of the color nuances.
2. Choose metal color
For the majority of our products, you can choose from the following 3 metal colors:
- Old brass (this color is dark)
- Steel (this color resembles silver)
- Brass (this color is golden and resembles gold or brass)
3. Choose text embossing on the product
When ordering a RAVN keyring, you must decide whether you want a keyring:
- Without embossing
- With embossing on the front
- With embossing on both front and back
If you want a keyring with embossing on the front, the text will be embossed on the same side as our logo.
If you want embossing on both the front and back, the text will be embossed as shown in the image below. On both the front and back, the text starts from the rivet and goes towards the curve, so that the text will be oriented correctly when the keyring is turned vertically. We believe this is the most natural way to orient the keyring once the keys are attached.
When we emboss the desired text, we will center the text on the keyring so that it looks neat and as shown in the images.
If you want text embossed on the keyring, you must enter the desired text on the keyboard that appears on the screen, as shown in the image below.
- When entering text, there is a limit to how much can be on the various products. When there is no more room for text, the letters will turn gray, as shown in the image below. In the example below, such a long text has been entered that there is no room for more of the wide letters, while the narrow letters can still be chosen (the letters that can still be chosen are black).
- To create a space, press the blank button, which you will find in the top row before the 0.
Once you have selected the desired text, add the product to the shopping cart. In the shopping cart, you can check that the desired text has been entered correctly and that the color of the leather as well as the metal is as desired.
